2026 updates

Hello Movers,

Its been a little while of radio silence from us here at Melbourne In Motion. We enjoy moving and playing but alas Admin stuff like sending emails writing blog posts and tasks that require us to sit down alludes most of us here at MIM.

First off

Huge thank you to everyone of you who have supported us in some form over the years, whether it be through classes, workshops, events or anything in-between. Without playful curious folk such as yourself willing to try unconventional modes of movement such as parkour or motion type experiences we wouldn’t be able to run these sort of experiences

So thank you!

Classes 2026

We took the usual end of year break/ hiatus from classes end of 2025. Getting back on track for 2026 has been a little slower for us as we manage schedules, life admin and various other hurdles.

But Classes or Sessions will run in a limited form going ahead for 2026. With some changes and modifications.

Changes

-Classes will only run if there is a minimum number of participants

Sessions require a minimum of 4 lovely folk to run. So when you book in tell your friends, family, coworkers anyone else who could be interested.

If the day leading up to your booked in session numbers seem low, we will message you to the supplied number you provide when booking.

Latest we will message you 2hrs before your session.

If your session gets cancelled due to low numbers, we can refund, or transfer funds for the next session.

-Parkour Classes Only Once a Month!

Parkour classes used to be weekly, but currently we are only running sessions Once a month Each parkour session will be the First Saturday each Month

So April 4th,

May 2nd,

June 6th

Are our next Parkour Sessions

-New Class Times

Some modified scheduling to the classes, we have shifted most of the start and end times half hour earlier. Double check the booking times

-Motion Class: 9:00 - 10:00am

-Parkour for Families: 10:15 -11:15am

-Parkour for Everyone: 11:30am - 12:40pm

-New Class

Offering new a new session (Monkey) Motion

Motion will be offered every two weeks!

Not strictly a parkour class, think of it as a playful approach to movement, mobility

Drawing inspiration from Parkour, dance, contact improv, theatre, animal flow, capoeira and other similar motion based disciplines, explore movement in a playful way.

Playing games like ninja, or partner mirroring we can have fun and maybe get benefits of added mobility, flexibility, coordination and body awareness.

Exploring movement patterns such as, Cartwheels, Handstands, Quadrupedal, Balance, Rolls, Floor Flow,

Expect quadruple movement patterns, light movement balance challenges, and a mix of movement patterns.

- PT, Cozy Sessions, Workshops

Coaches now offering PT sessions, if you want the one one experience to work on something in particular reach out and we can sort something out.

Cozy Sessions, the smaller capped class sessions that’s perfect for a group of friends, a more intimate smaller class a excellent in-between PT and large sessions.
